I thought the spoilers looked really good. What don't you like about them?

Oh, no, they are pretty good. It's just that in OGMW you could put them side-by-side on the same line, whereas now in Baldr, it's just one spoiler per line, max. I personally don't find it such a big deal, though I think there's been a few complaints about them. By others.

I know there's workarounds like making a table and putting a spoiler in each cell of a row, but it ends up looking ugly as sin, esp. on the phone. I'm anyway for minimalism though, so perhaps I can make some pretty but clean (and not over-engineered) templates. I dunno. It seems like somewhere around 2016-17 folks started going crazy with the BBCoding 🙂

Yes, it's somewhat overpowered I think.  Would be better on the lower third of the roll range, so cancelling the d6 on 2 or less rather than 3 I think.

Or have it force two sets of d6 rolls with you having to take the lesser half of the dice pool.

I think 2nd edition also has the disadvantage mechanic (roll 2d12 and keep lowest) like 5e, it calls it ill-favor or something. But it's less potent than weary. Weary maths out to something like a -1 penalty per d6 in the pool, so it's a penalty that scales.

On average a d6 rolls a (1+2+3+4+5+6)/6=3.5. With Weary that's (0+0+0+4+4+5)/6=2.5. If it only set ones and twos to zero, it would be (0+0+3+4+5+6)/6=3, so half the effect of Weary.

I'm not sure I remember the rules, but I think there's a combat task that lets you ignore weary for a number of rounds. It definitely exists in 1st edition.

Yes, it's kind of the build-up and the not giving into despair that this adventure is trying to emphasize, I think. That's what wins the conflict (and not the individual fighting scenes or NPC scenes).

@BlueTrillium I don't know what I did but I deleted your image and then re-linked it, and somehow it restored the default text spacing. Feel free to copy the template below if it looks better to you. Also, I think there's a chance that if the image is a .png with transparency in the white bits, it will look so in every theme. So it may be even better then, but up to you. I can look into it later 🙂

Here's the code for copy-pasting (posty bits only):

    spacing is still very very weird looking but getting closer.... Any way of having like 1-2 characters&#39; width of space between the pic and the text here? probably not. hrm.

    <s>dangit, now it looks fine in editing and preview but looks like utter crap as soon as I save it? WTF</s>

<p>
    omg finally. Guess I can&#39;t do a width% on the floatleft thing. all righty then.... of course now it doesn&#39;t seem to resize the image for phone but... I don&#39;t use phone so I can live with that. (sorrynotsorry phone users)

Hi, since I'm done with my app I started clicking around in the forum more. I came across this conversation about HTML design. I happen to be a web designer :3 Mind if I take a quick stab and see if it's to your liking? It can easily be modified (and I can explain why it works if you're interested).

Here's the new post format. Note how the top line is all aligned equally (stupid p tags...) and the character attributes centered properly beneath the image. The lorem ipsum is just dummy text for spacing. You can adjust the spacing on the right of the image, by adjusting the "margin-right" style with a different percentage (or just pick something like 10px).

@Suzuki Stumpy I've unprivated my side-thread, which could help getting rid of the 'forum as unread' problem for now. Just a low-tech fix, but that's what we have. Please excuse the crappy fiction. I am just trying to familiarize myself with TOR 2e & Strider Mode & the lands near Dale/Lake-Town.
