Father Wilwick Bramblemane, Halfling Cleric QUICK STATS: AC=17, Touch=12, FF=17 / HP= 8/13 / Init=0 / Saves: Fort=6, Reflex=2, Will = 7 ________________________________________________________________________ Father Bramblemane collaborates with Crescenda in their evaluation of the alter, the magic that was at work, the related skeletons, the broken statue and the status of the ceremony. However, when Crescenda indicates that she has the salvaged baking goods, Wilwick smiles and says, "Great job! I would hate to be without the ability to make campfire biscuits!" "I appreciate it," the diminutive holy man adds with a sincere smile as he stows the items back in his pack before searching the alter area. "So, what do you make of the magic the evil cleric was attempting to invoke, as well as the alter and related items," the tiny cleric asks his taller counterpart. "Even though it's unlikely, I suppose we should check it for a trap before tampering with the stone or attempting to remove it," the Elven holy man adds in the same hushed tone with a sincere smile. Wow. Sounds horrible. This is a small wound, now virtually closed. It is completely clean and healthy and will heal totally in a couple weeks. The infection was gone 4 days after starting the antibiotics.
  4. I don't want the goods necessarily, but we might be able to salvage them later. I was trying to make a joke about creating an grain-fueled, well-attired, Iron Golem! Nothing more. 😄

"I'll just go as myself, after all many religions cling to the nobility like leeches on a wet dog," she adds confirming the accuracy of her prior statement. "That being said, there is no use in not updating my holy attire with the colors of the various elements," the Elemental Priestess adds with a grin. "New vestments and accouterments in fiery red, icy blue, earthy green, and white sheer representing air would be absolutely perfect," she adds. "Thank you!" Frankly, the open wound exposed to air has healed much more in a week than the two plus weeks of them keeping it bandaged and moist with ointment and no antibiotics. The new skin is growing from the sides and the bottom scab is nearly level with the rest of the leg, even though it started over an inch deep. It will be fine, however it is making me sleepy all the time and then restless in bed which makes me even more tired. Couple weeks and I won't even remember it was done!

When Torren asks what a cairn is, Raziel says in a hushed tone, "Typically it's a heap of stones piled up as a memorial or sometimes as a marker, however mounds such as this are merely dirt versions, however in this case on a much larger scale given its size." Even as the group silently presses forward, the Priest of Erastil keeps his eyes and ears focused on the surrounding environment watching and listening for the sight or sound of movement or anything unusual. After cleaning and stowing his weapon and retrieving his sling, the diminutive Priest draws a twisted willow wand which he uses to touch himself and heal his wounds from the battle with the unholy priest of evil before asking, "Is anyone else injured?" After completing the healing, the padre stows his wand and then moves over near the alter of the evil deity and uses his experience and training to try and identify the details of the god, the ceremony's purpose, as well as the religious paraphernalia lying upon the alter. After he learns 'all' he can of the nature of the black divine arts being practiced in this foul hellhole of a chapel, Willwick notices the pieces of a shattered statue next to the alter which broken clues the tiny minister attempts to decipher while his colleagues attend to the dead and search the room for hidden things and valuable objects. 18. When Aeruiel leaves the chamber to investigate the ruins, Jessie climbs down off of her rock and repositions at the broken doorway with bow in hand so she can keep an eye on the half-moon elf as she explores the area and whispers, "Please be careful." Even as she stands watch, Jessie continues to mentally communicate with the yet to be seen creature living in the oak tree chamber. However, once Aeruiel is back safe and sound, then the Halfling will return to her previous position on the rock and resume perimeter security. Eventually, as the sun begins to set which signals the coming night and chillier temperatures, Jessie pulls her cloak a bit tighter about her neck while she continues to mentally communicate back and forth with their invisible host. Turning to her colleagues, she says in a soft voice, "Cloakfall is nearly upon us. Soon we will need lighting, especially some at the entrance to this chamber unless our guards have darkvision." Continuing to whisper, Jessie adds with a hopeful smile, "I think we can also build a small fire to cook, and keep those not on guard duty warm, in the far corner of the room where fires have been struck before." However, when the tiny rogue detects an Elf approaching the oak tree room, Jessie sits up in attention but does not raise her bow, after all there was plenty of time for that. Instead, Jessie whispers to the group, "We've got visitors. Ready yourselves!" Jessie's Mind Jessie thinks, 'It might be an unseelie farie. I've never seen one before,' she adds before describing the creature from the pool in detail the best she is able. 'None of us can fly and the water creature won't let us walk past.' 'Plus, big ants block the other way. What other choices do we have to reach the kobolds?' _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ ' I realize you called it names but have you or the water creature ever disturbed or tried to attack each other,' she later asks after allowing the invisible helper to talk about the layout of the underground? ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Later, Jessie thinks through the mental link, 'It seems to hate you and I can't figure out why since you seem so nice.' 'Can you please tell me why it is so angry?' ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ 'Also, you said that you have flown past the farie.' 'Please tell me what lays past the farie's pool? What did you see?' 'Where does the passage lead,' she asks after trying to learn the nature of the dispute between the two creatures as requested by Aeruiel? As such, the lass intentionally keeps her brown hair long to cover her halfling features, which allows the rogue to pass herself off as a small humanoid or even young human or half-elven child when convenient or necessary. Dressed dark purple clothing, which is overlaid with attractive black leather accoutrements, Jessie keeps the paraphernalia of her 'profession' secreted upon her person, and especially the authorities, except when in use. Her friendly blue eyes and warm, sincere smile are disarming and allow the lass to paint a picture of a young girl who is completely unintimidating by all appearances, an assumption often made by others which suits her well and which she actively cultivates. To promote this look of youth or innocence, most of Jessie's weapons, alchemical doodads, pack, and other equipment are kept hidden under her clothing and also by her large heavy dark green cloak. Cover me while I do it, you know, just in case." While other leave to gather materials for the construction job, Raziel pulls a ball of string, piece of wire and an empty flask from his pack and hidden pockets in his clothing and cloak. After twisting the wire around the neck of the flask with it ending in a loop above the opening, next the holy man ties the string through the wire loop and then lowers the open flask down into the water below to collect a sample as Torren suggested. Reeling up the partially full container, Raziel untwists the wire from the flask and hands the sample to Torren to hold as he whispers, "Let's see if we can check the depth of the shaft as well." Adding another piece of wire for extra weight, once again the holy man lowers the string down into the water until it hits bottom, at which point Raziel ties a tiny strip of colored cloth on the string at ground height and quickly reels up the line once the crude measurement is taken and ties a second strip of cloth at the place where the string goes from wet to dry to mark the top of the water level as well. After analyzing the water sample and getting a rough measurement of the water's depth, the minister corks the flask and seals it with wax in case it has any value in the future. Next, he retwists the wire, rolls up the ball of string and returns all of his supplies back to whence they came while his colleagues build a cover for the shaft and then reveals the results of his findings. Finally, Raziel says, "I can cast unlimited small amounts of rain-like precipitation from the Plane of Water. Perhaps we could use it to wash down items brought out of the house to sit in the sun, and also inside to try and wash away some of the Ghoul filth." "If anyone has any cleaning magic, such as Prestidigitation or Unseen Servants or Elemental Assistants, that will help too," the padre adds with a sincere smile hoping others had some helpful cantrips as well. Nonetheless, if folks are agreeable to the concept, the Father de' Fatale will spend the time that others are using to build the shaft cover to cast Create Water cantrips in key locations or as directed to try and wash away some of the Ghoul filth in the manor house and on its contents.
