  1. Speaking of stonks I found that Starfinder has some : Oh but don't worry guys you can add your rank in an appropriate profession to bolster that roll. Which I guess means never get in a bar fight with your stock advisor as clearly they are level 15 and up.
  2. Nazira "Naz" Amar Shaking her head at Pop's continued antics and their predictable immediate failure Nazira moved to the box. She'd moved many a box in her day and truth be told Nazira hated it. With a passion. There was something just so... inefficient... about kneeling up and down with a load like some primitive from the Days of Thunder. Still there was no obvious candidate for hauling she could shuffle it off too, unless the princeling caught a sudden fit of mannish chivalry. Dropping down Naz lifted with her knees gripping the box as tight against her core as possible while straining back to counterbalance the weight. Hoping not to topple over she grunted and began to move. It wasn't the longest she'd had to move something ever but neither was it short enough to be painless. Upon reaching the bridge and being informed to bring the box to the Moneylender's quarters she sighed slightly. "Oh yeah, no sweat," Nazira remarked, trying to keep her grunts as quiet as possible.
  3. That moment when you realize the entire party has trash Str scores and you can't gracefully lob the burden off on someone else
  4. Isn't the traditional answer getting the one to pay for the other?
  5. Nazira "Naz" Amar "It would probably be better for Popsicle at least," Naz added rather dourly, "If we all agree to keep an eye on him," She had litle to add on the Tarto's other old salt griping. Was there a difference between a cult and a church aside from size and public recognition? She supposed from a certain perspective she might be in cult, even if it was one devoted to one of the eldest and most important divinities. "To the original question, I had a halfling quartermaster once that told 'Naz my girl first impressions are the worst impressions' meaning you can't get to know someone that fast. Like I've managed to apply stuff I've been doing since I was twelve today, but there's so much I have yet to learn tomorrow I may be useless." Nazira's voice lost some of its usual confidence as she spoke. "Err... sorrry that was a bit gloomy. You're all great really, I just hate being put on the spot for this sort of thing."
  6. You're welcome seeing as when I started there were none. ;)
  7. I might pick up minor gear with but I think I've covered the important items. And... ah crap I had a little blurb in the third post on NPCs that didn't get saved, type that again in the morning.
  8. This should be all set I think? I'm don't know Starfinder like the back of my hand but I think I have everything. One Note: Archetype has two choices present and that will depend on which (if any) role Blue get accepted on the crew for.
  9. Nazira "Naz" Amar "Guess I'll just have to find out, but since magic clearly works in or out I think I can get by," That was true enough, if anything working magic in such circumstances could almost be called a Mystaran ideal. The goddess was magic, at least in the Realms, and thus deserved certain respect but that was not the whole of the theology and to (respectfully) work magic of your own will was esteemed more then slavishly devoting yourself to the goddess in the hopes of being given it in return. Still something to look into, proper theological musing was not Nazira's strong suit but someone here should be versed in the matter. Seeing things wrap up Nazira rose and made ready to leave, with one parting mention to Popsicle, "Well time to go, I'll see you around Pop. Whatever you're thinking about my amulet I'd reconsider, I don't value mere things but this one came from my father. It disappears I will be finding it yes? We all saw on the boat earlier, you can do much better for yourself then with petty theft you know? Apply yourself in a place like this and you'll find you can buy a thousand old pieces of silver soon enough" With that Nazira headed out, hoping her words had seen off any immediate mischief. Though if not well, it wouldn't be the first time she'd knocked heads. Naz fixed problems for herself. ~~|*|~~ Out in the open air of the Sky Dock Nazira smiled, this air was familiar to her and reminded her that home wasn't yet all that far away, the site of the busy dock and aerial vessels was both familiar and strange at once. As the gnomes chattered Naz wondered how widespread their attitude really was. In her experience for everything there was a right way, a wrong way, and then there was how you were actually doing it because the quartermaster or captain said so and was about to keel haul anyone that said otherwise. Books and procedures were all well and good but not everyone had a feel for them especially in the moment. Still it couldn't hurt to give them a read over when they had time. Making her way over to Yahs Nazira helped pick up a few of the books from the avalanche. "Mind if I hold on to a few?" Naz asked the plasmoid quietly not wanting to distract from the instructors theatrical routine. "So what does Fleet Procedure have us doing next?"
  10. Nazira "Naz" Amar Nazira gave the penguin a friendly nod as he waddled up. He seemed calmer and a bit better off and that was good. As for what he said now that was interesting. A voice when she had used her powers? She hadn't heard that. "Well I can tell you part of what happened, I healed your injuries. It's a blessing a magic some people can learn when they're really devoted to something like a god, mine is still pretty weak but it can take away some pain or keep you alive. It's like what clerics do when they pray to the gods but also not. I can't really say explain it though someone in this school probably can." Pausing for breath Naz allowed herself a frown. As she continued she pulled an eight pointed star on the end of a chain from her bodice. It was silver but tarnished and a little bent from use "In my case I gained that magic through my love of well... magic. I grew up around wizards you see. Lots of wizards. I've always loved watching what they can do. Never much good myself though, we all have out weaknesses. And here in the Realms magic has a name: Mystra. The Thrice-Bourne, the Lady of Magic, the One Who Is Magic. She's got a lot of names because lots of people like her, but you can just call her Mystra. Perhaps that's who you heard. Did the voice sound like wit was coming from the same place my healing was?" Naz wasn't entirely sure about that idea. Everyone knew Mystra's favorites were all wizards, masters of magic not mere dabblers and admirers like Naz. Perhaps Popsicle here had the makings of one, or perhaps something else was at play.
  11. [NPC & OTHER RELATIONS] EJ Corp: Blue owes the company her life but there's little love lost there since they charged her "appropriately" for every bit of assistance. She isn't precisely resentful of this, as her previous iteration was very much at fault for the crash, but considers Evgeniya-Jaimisson no more then a temporary stopover. Shan: Blue owes the Brenneri a great personal debt since it was Shan who recovered Blue past life journal from the crash wreckage. During Blue's time on Entha they became friends and drinking buddies. She appreciates the Brenneri's passion for helping others, but worries it will get her into trouble some day. Six: The common moniker for Blue's prior iteration, Six was an independent starship captain and a rare outgoing and charismatic android. Which seems to have given her a particular propensity for getting into trouble. A life of jilted lovers, unpaid bar tabs, and swashbuckling hijinks fascinates Blue to read about and know what sort of life she once lived, but cleaning up the mess has dampened any desire to repeat that. As the most recent iteration before Blue she still runs into people that knew Six and recognize the iterations shared face. Other Past Lives: Blue is still getting to know her more distant iterations through their sections of the journal. Some lived better lives and some worse, all of them seem to have spent considerable time on starships often pilots but sometimes in other roles. Blue has records of all their lives but wonders about what might not have survived in the record either being lost in the endless series or copies and backups or simply not recorded by her prior iterations.

It is a deeply personal record, light on larger galactic history but heavy on personal impressions of places and people across known space. 13. [Vital Data Summary] DESIGNATION: Series #20XX-B Mark VII NAME: Blue Seven RACE: Android FACSIMILE: Humanoid F-Type IDENTITY: Female CLASS: Technomancer ARCHETYPE: Racer / Data Jockey THEME: Ace Pilot ROLE: Pilot / Science Officer CONCEPT: Old Body, New Life BACKGROUND: Terraformer . [DESCRIPTION] As an android Blue is of ancient manufacture but remains eternally in the form of a young human woman of not quite twenty standard years. Most can identify her properly from the gleaming golden circuits of her eye units and the junctures at the back of her neck. Other circuit lines are prominent down her spine and on her extremities, while others activate when she is jacked into a system or using magic. Exceptionally athletic her body is lean and toned, though periodically marked by the occasional scar from injuries Blue does not remember. Though her body may be ancient Blue herself has just passed two years since her last renewal following a starship crash on the planet Entha and is still figuring out things about herself. Officially each android that undergoes renewal becomes a new person with a new soul but Blue and the iterations before her have always disagreed with this orthodox, viewing renewal as a regeneration of the soul that allows it to take on new perspectives. As such Blue feels uncommonly connected to her prior iterations, particularly the mistakes her immediate predecessor Six made that resulted in her death. Thus Blue has become a very serious, studious, and cautious person, detail oriented and rather happy to hide beneath the 'emotionless android' stereotype. Or at least on the surface. In the privacy of her own time and space she has several infosphere idents that are considerably more outgoing. While androids are born mature Blue is still young enough that much of the universe is a wonder to her and she enjoys trying and learning new things immensely. She has a deep love of music, an extensive collection, and is even a fair hand at it herself. And while Blue never laughs in public she is fast becoming infamous for her deadpan serious humor, routine noting that those who do not make the departure time will be incinerated by engine exhaust. [HISTORY] Blue is not her name. If the android who answers to it had a proper name it would be 20XX-B an unknown manufacturer number stamped into her hide centuries ago. Which manufacturer cannot be determined for while Blue herself is only two years old 20XX-B has a history running clear back to the Gap and has undergone the process of renewal seven times. She has been a free android, a slave, a revolutionary, a successful trader, a mercenary and more. Blue does not remember this directly, but each iteration of herself has kept a journal of their life to pass on to their descendants. Blue Seven's life so far has been strongly shaped by her immediate predecessor. An independent starship captain Six worked the scattered drift lanes of the Vast. Six filled the diary with planets and people they 'docked' with, from the Pact Worlds to the Azlanti Star Empire. Yet if Six had a passion for adventure and passionate living, she had rather less of a head for business. Not that running cargoes for people who needed them faster or to more dangerous locales wasn't lucrative, the repairs this entailed and Six's own propensity for cause trouble led to the ship slowly bleeding money. Repairs and maintenance were put off, then put off again, crew left and by the end only small not remained while Six had integrated herself into many systems to replace crew she could no longer afford to pay. Towards the end she took steady work hauling supplies to Entha for the EJ corporation, unglamorous work but slowly getting the ship in order. Until the day something went wrong in the upper atmosphere. Six went down with her ship and did not survive. Blue was born in the EJ corporate infirmary on Entha. Renewal is a complicated process for androids, ideally a voluntary process done in a safe setting and preceded by considerable preparation. In the aftermath of a starship crash was rather far from that. Many androids leave something for their successors and Six like the others before her had not been entirely remiss in this, yet there was also the matter of a lost starship and cargo undelivered. The insurance was current but between damages, depreciation, and assorted legal wrangling the young Blue had little left when it was all done. So Blue came to work for the EJ corporation terraforming operation on Entha until she could recertify certain credentials. Finally after two years she has the BD514 as her first real gig of her new life.
  14. Nazira "Naz" Amar Nazira made her way to the observation gallery eyes wide. She took a seat as close to the lecture as she could and listen with rapt attention, leaning forward to the edge. Just how amazing was magic? Flying through the stars, ahh she couldn't wait. If only she'd been born with more in the way of magical talent she might be down there in the orrery. Listening to the lecture Nazira kept in mind the contrast with vessels familiar to her. Her last ship had been a skyship and the Amar family had something of a family trade of them. She could see why 'spelljamming' had never caught on with her people though. Few enough saw need to travel in the first place, for all the fame and awe their skyships inspired Naz's people were isolationists who rarely left home. And while their famed skyships were the work of wizards, were maintained by magewrights, and for one to be owned by a 'lesser' without magical talents was unheard of, but they did not need a caster's intervention to soar and sail. No doubt they'd regard time away from their studies merely to convey themselves as far too akin to being a horse tied to a cart. Well no matter. At least one Halruaan had been an exception to that, and if Naz had her way with Mystra's blessing before too long she would make that two.
