  1. Having learned my lesson the hard way that trying to run multiple games at the same time is a "very bad idea", I am focussing my efforts on one game only. I don't see a lot of love for it on the site, and definitely don't recall seeing a game advertised for it in the past, but I am going to run the 5E version of Free League's Ruins of Symbaroum. I have a lot of love for the dark and gritty celtic flavour of the setting and its adaptation of the 5e ruleset lean to the sort of games where the journey is more important than the destination.
  2. Good god! This has been on my bucket list of must play for years! Application incoming.
  3. PF2e is something I'd really really like to get into, but in all honesty for someone very new to the system the ads I see posted are intimidating for want of a better word and way above what I'd feel comfortable trying to apply to at the moment. A beginner friendly PF2e game would be awesome, but I don't think I've seen one of these advertised at all yet.
  4. So the new D&D rulebooks are scheduled to come out summer 2024, and I was curious to see who is planning to upgrade to the new rulebooks when they come out. I’ve got to be honest, I don’t fully understand how they can be backwards compatible with the current ruleset or how that would work. Are we going to have two different rule sets in play at the same time? In all honesty though, I’ve invested so much money in 5th Edition that I can’t justify the expense to buy a whole new set of rules, definitely not in these days of financial crunch. I’m quite happy with what I have but I’m also intrigued to see who does plan on upgrading to the new books?
  5. Yup, that's it cheers. I was clicking on the other side of the result, which kept copying the roll rather than showing me the result 🙄
  6. I may entirely have missed this when looking over the threads and if I have I completely apologise for doing so, but is there a way if I am rolling multiple dice that I can see the results of the individual dice rolls? For example I roll 4d6 but I only see the overall result and not what each individual dice came out as.
  7. Thread for all general OOC chat. Please post questions in the FAQ thread.
  8. Love it. I’m an old school Greyhawk fan and although the setting doesn’t get anywhere near as much love as it deserves it’s good to see people keeping it alive, particularly in the recent years of Wizards disinterest.
  9. Absolutely fantastic. I’ve been trying to get into Pathfinder and Starfinder for that matter as well. I don’t understand how they can put things up for such crazy prices, though I’m not complaining
  10. They are massively popular from what I’ve seen. I don’t think anyone posting an ad for a Pathfinder AP will be short on applications.
  11. Point buy systems, particularly if I'm GM'ing a game. I often find that players tend to say "I would much prefer to roll dice than point buy but if I get low scores I want to reroll", which often puts those who roll for stats on an unfair ground because they get to leave it to chance without taking the risk that comes with it. Got to be point buy, I agree with the poster above in that it puts everyone on an equal footing.
  12. What’s the expected posting rate for this game?
