Squawk flutters over and zips between the bars of the cage to bonk his head against Zea in an attempt to provide what comfort he can. OOC

"Oh, they're so precious!! C'mere, little ones," she coos at the baby birds. "I can keep you warm! My sisters always said that I was like a bonfire, always hated sharing a bed with me when we had to travel. Might as well put that to use!" She scoops as many of the little fluffballs as she can carry up and cuddles them in her arms, with much fussing over their adorableness. Then, she unwraps her scarf from around her head, letting her hair loose, and swaddles them like feathery babies. "It always strikes the highest thing first!" OOC First two actions, I cast electric arc. She rolled a critical fail, so 14 points of damage. Then, I rolled to demoralize, but failed.

"Can't be harder than that crabapple tree behind the Plucked Partridge," she mutters. She had whiled away many an hour in that tree...and gotten many delicious jars of jelly from its fruit. Of course, this is no crabapple tree, and she scrapes a knuckle on the exposed stonework, loses her footing, and falls flat on her ass. She glares mutinously up at the wall, considering more carefully, and this time, manages to get some of the way up. OOC

As she continues to berate the imp, a letter opener on the desk flies towards the imp, but she's so damn angry that the projectile misses and embeds itself in the mirror's frame. OOC

She fills the divot with the tinder, sets the end of the stick in the divot and begins to roll it back and forth between her hands until the telltale whisper of white smoke indicates her success. Quickly, she dips her candle in the small flame she has sparked. "Hope you don't mind that I didn't use magic, Teacher," she says.
