  1. Ah, the old two-sided die... Of course, with my luck, it'll land on edge... I'm hoping to resolve this before I head home from work... I want to go to my in-person gaming event (a one-shot of Monster of the Week hosted at a branch of my local Gaming/Comic/Pop Culture store (same company I went to for RSD, but their second store. Been itching to try this game for a while now.) with a clear head when it comes to this game. It may definitely result in a coin toss, but I won't feel good about either result. If I could run it for seven, I would at this point. However, the campaign isn't designed for it. (My SWADE WIP SpecOps game, though... designed for eight operators.)
  2. Still trying to make a good decision on the final slot.
  3. Another reason not to be an author.. "What... I might have to kill one of my characters?" Looking at you, Mr Butcher... Looking right at you...
  4. Basic Frequency I'm looking to do typically 2-3 major posts a week to keep the campaign going. Minor posts, such as conversations and such, will occur more frequently than that. From you guys, I'm hoping to get about the same frequency, though I expect that you'll all hit that mark without a problem. Of course, I'm not expecting massive doings on weekends. Combat When a combat is going on, I'll be looking for more frequent posts, typically daily. If I don't get any update on your character's intentions in combat by midnight, I'll assume your characters are taking a defensive action, a rest, or something that won't be detrimental to your character. I may take brief control to make sure the character is as out of danger as possible. If you'd already planned something that would go more than one round, I'll keep that going. Life I know Life rears its ugly head -- work, family, friends, whatnot. I get it. It happens to me fairly often. I'm not going to say anything if you miss a few days, no worries. If I don't see something from you (a post, a DM, what have you) for more than a week, though, I'll ping you to make sure you're still active and okay. Also, if you're like me, you're probably already planning some sort of summer holiday or vacation. I know I am. So, if you already have plans that will affect posting for a while, let us know in the OOC channels and maybe a DM to me. We'll work on controlling your character. If something is going to be very long-term away from the game, please do the same. We'll find a way to put your character on hiatus and bring in someone from the farm team. Any questions? Let me now in the comments below!
  5. Aaaaaaaaaaaaand we get someone in just under the wire...
  6. Selection Update At present... I have most of the slots filled. I'm proud to say that everyone has great concepts and character builds. I wish I could accept more than six, but that would get messy. As it is, I'm hemming and hawing over Slot #6. Two great characters, each with great stuff to bring to the party. Some good news is that anyone that doesn't make Tier 1 will be accepted into Tier 2 - The Reserves, who will be the first called up should an opening happen.
  7. Man, you guys aren't making it easy at all... Wow... I thought my little grid that I showed would make things easier. In reality, it doesn't... I've even tallied votes from everyone... As I said, not easy. This is the toughest thing a GM on here always goes through.
  8. We're getting there... So many decent concepts... wish I could do with them all, but unfortunately... What I do plan to have is a Tier 2 - The Reservists. Basically, should an opening happen, these characters will be the first to be called up. Think of it like the AAA farm teams for the Major Leagues. Taking the week to go through all builds here, tally recommendation votes... and yet we're still open until 11.59pm Wednesday 24 April. Stay tuned!
  9. Not bad. We had three people in three places: I was at our local . I had three (four, if I could find it) records tasked to me (South Park, The Cure, Doctor Who). Made it out with all three. My wife was at a , tasked with finding the one I wasn't able to get. My son was Primary mission, with the . He made out like a bandit, as they know him well (even have a drawing he did of the late Peter Steele from Type O Negative), and ordered enough albums so that he could get his share. His was the heaviest purchase. In other words, three operations pass Jackpot.
  10. This is what I have thus far for a comparison grid... This grid is part of my Campaign Manager, done via Obsidian. If anyone is curious on its construction, let me know. It's always a work in progress as I find something new to toy with in its bounds. I'm also using it for my fiction writing, personal work KB, other data/note gathering...
  11. Nobody should count themselves out as of yet. It's all fair game at this point. Deeper reviews will be done during the weekend for certain... provided I survive Record Store Day this Saturday....
  12. I'm liking the variety of what's been submitted. Also getting some good recommendations for some players from others, so that goes a long way.
  13. As it stands... I have one definite choice to make Tier 1. There are a few more under strong consideration. And there's time left... Recruitment ends at 23.59 Wednesday 24 April 2024. Selection announcements between Friday 26 April and Sunday 28 April, depending on what's going on that weekend. Looking forward to other submissions!
  14. Interesting character choice. I'd like to see the final product before Recruitment is done.
