About This Game

Inspired by the Pattycake Productions projects of Villains Lair, and Princess Academy plus concepts from other Disney media including games like Disney Mirrorverse and Twisted Wonderland I present to you a game that expands the idea of what if all the worlds of portrayed in Disney films and other things were all in one world and the trouble that could be created if the villains in those worlds decided to plot together.

Detailed Description

Greetings Friends Welcome to the Disney Verse, where all the stories of the Disney kingdoms have been gathered and compiled into one world of existence. The world itself is stable, and the kingdoms are at peace after dealing with their villains and other troublemaking things but like all stories just because one book finishes with a 'happy' ending doesn't mean that's the end. The kingdoms continue to exist and through various envoys and ambassadors, the various kingdoms trade knowledge and other resources with each other so that all flourish, and every so often a collaboration of kingdoms results in big projects, academies of magic and knowledge, military camps for training the next generation of heroes for combat and even guilds for people to learn and practice various professions but for all this to exist there has to be something else in existence and that is the villains and their land of darkness

One thing certain people of this world have discovered is that this world has a system of magic in play that even if someone 'dies' their existence doesn't end and they are for the most part revived. This includes the various villains and other troublemakers but instead of being allowed to roam the kingdoms they caused trouble in, the villains are 'banished' to their own kingdom, the land of darkness, a sort of land of villainy that exists to balance out the various kingdoms of light and good and for the most part that even that dark land is quiet. Sure anyone who visits there has to watch their back for a thug itching for a fight or a thief just practicing their pickpocket skills but those who live in that dark land have come to a consensus, It could be a lot worse. Here they have the freedom to exist how they choose not held back by morals or social rank but can live by their own will and strength and they can respect one another for their strength. Magic sustains the land and allows people to exist without too much hardship and peace is maintained because of respect for one another. However, despite these claims of peace, One can't be too careful when dealing with a villain.

You are a resident of this world and have a dream to make a name for yourself like some of the greats both hero and villain who have come before you but one must always heed this warning, What goes around comes around.

  2. there we go! excellent! On another note, I bought a luckstone, to go with my mage stone... all I need now is some jojoba oil or wax for this contrary rope, and we can get going. Well, hopefully Merlin will lend us a bag of holding. I guess we give Moana and Mulan our spare 2 pairs of goggles of night... which are now swimming goggles of night. EDIT: I see we're missing any ways to gain advantage or buff? Anyway we can get some faerie fire or bless? I can spare 60 or 90 gold for someone(kronk or Mulan) to train it up. Hitting helps.
  3. Cauldron Cacophony? While reading my character sheet, I realize that Mickey also has the Inspiring Leader feat, so he will use it on all of us on our team when it's appropriate.
  4. Unfortunately, no. Animate Objects is a level-5 spell available when Mickey reaches 9th level, but it is something to keep in mind.
  5. Hopefully Mickey has animate objects. That seems like a must have for the sorcerer's apprentice. Send an army of brooms to throw buckets of water at our enemies. The Black Cauldron is a dark movie. I liked it, but it is not for everyone. Some people hate it. As said before it is rushed, too much story into too short a movie. It has the feel of the 80's video game "Dragon's Lair." It is definitely not standard Disney fare.

  7. It is indeed great. I'm... hesitant. Some of the more recent sequels (admittedly from Pixar) have given me some apprehensions. I will probably see it with my daughters, though.
  8. I've considered exchanging spells, but I'm going to stick with my current selections. Summoning Undead? Isn't that a Chernabog sort of thing? LOL! BTW, I just finished seeing MOANA on FreeForm. (I had recorded it on my DVR.) It was fantastic! Wow! It was truly a great movie. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Now all I have to do is see THE BLACK CAULDRON (and read the books) and THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE. Well, and maybe see TANGLED again. I love that movie.
  9. You can beg the GM to change your third level spells to Summon Undead. Imagine Mickey summoning a skeleton! You know you want to!
  10. Oh, yeah -- "Conjure Beast". That would come in handy, but I agree with our leader's approach to our task. Mickey will try to avoid combat unless it's absolutely necessary. Or if one of the bad guys says something nasty to Aurora, Rapunzel or Eilonwy! 😉
  11. I agree. No frontal assaults. We must use negotiation and stealth… and long-range sneak attacks to gain our objective.

  13. I think Eilonwy has 20 gp to pitch in. I wonder how the Black Cauldron would react with a bag of holding. Depends on how it works, but it might explode. That could be interesting.
  14. That sounds right. You could go back and rewatch the video to verify. Mickey did see all of those villains in the vision we saw, even if he has not heard of them before. I also wonder how much he might have heard of these villains from stories being told. We don't have a front line fighter, so we might want to avoid a direct confrontation.

They could draw a stipend as visiting scholars or something." "Oh, we could also say that while they were here, they would also have the opportunity to audit courses. Learning magic from the greatest wizard of them all would certainly be attractive to a spellcaster, as I'm sure you would all agree." "We could even say that, if they allow us to transport the Cauldron here, they could continue to guard it, thus enjoying the extra security the Mage Towers' magical defenses can offer. I mean, it's not like any of us plan to use the Cauldron. All we really want to do is the keep the bad guys from using it to bring back this Hades guy (whoever he is!) from the dead." Then after a dramatic pause, the young sorcerer continues on a more somber note, "Of course, we should have a back-up plan in case bargaining doesn't work. Maybe we should try to steal the Cauldron if they don't like our offer? Of course, we would need a way to easily carry it. Maybe a Bag of Holding might help. Mr. Merlin, sir? Would that be possible? I've only got 87 pazoozas left to my name at this point. Maybe the rest of my team would be willing to chip in so that we could buy one?" "Oh, and we'd need people who were extra stealthy and light-fingered enough to pull this off." He turned to Eilonwy, Rapunzel and Aurora. "What do you all think?" Taking a breath as the teams were chosen, Rapunzel moved to be nearer her group and gave Aurora a smiling nod as she did. It was good to have seen the other princess again and she was a friend in a sea of newness!

OOC Before entering the portal, Moana will gather the members of the her group and give them a little pep-talk, aka Inspiring Leader. I can do it in-character if you wish to, I just don't want to start it before Merlin has given his final go. It would be highly inappropriate to give a long monologue while ignoring the most important person in the room. I will only be inspiring my own team, as the GM expressed skepticism at using it on the other team, and I'm really not a fan of starting a game by annoying the GM.

  21. One more thing — Cauldron Cacophony? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the villains that we’ll encounter while chasing the Cauldron are Maleficent, Cruella deVil, Capt. Hook, Prince Hans, and Gaston. Of course, this is OOC for Mickey. He's never heard of any of these bad guys.
